I loved everything about my birthday yesterday. I feel so bad that I’m about to give everyone a dose of pain, in a few seconds; I’m doing this so it’s not just depressing material.

In the morning, I went for sushi with shely, and she actually tried a california roll! Even though she didn’t like it. (Although I’m pretty sure she secretly did…) Then, we went to the waterpark, and went on slides, and the lazy river, and the big huge wave pool, and the little kid “Spray Ground”. She got me a big box of chocolates, and these ADORABLE hello kitty hairclips! I got a few things from (shanalogic) from my mummy, and lots of candies, from her too. I got a Tuner/Metronome 2 in 1 thing, and “The B♭ Real Book”. In my mailbox- I got lots of cards from people, and a little box of these delicious chocolate eclairs! Mmmm… Tasty bday.

Well, here comes the painful part. My shoulder felt really out of wack on sunday, and when I woke up today it REALLY hurt. I went to swim practice and talked to one of my coaches, and he felt my shoulder with his fingers, and said it was tendonitis. (eek?) He said he got it a few years back, and he had to give up swimming for a year. (EEK!) So he told me to try the normal workout and see how it feels. It felt bad… So I had to go tothe deep end and skull for a while. I think that just made it worse, ’cause when I came home it was terrible. I can’t go to the fly meet tonight, and he said to take some time off.

I have to go, I’m icing my shoulder and the peas keep sliding.

Grace.

{July 3, 2008}   Ok, we have no power.

It’s terrible, we lost our power around 7 last night. I had to play my Bass Clarinet in candlelight. We still don’t have power, and the only reason i’m writing now is because we went to Panera for high speed wifi and food. Pretty much everything is spoiled in our ‘fridge.

I hope we get our power back soon – I NEED TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES. My DS is out of juice, I can’t play any gamecube games, because the gamecube requires power, and I can’t even play online rpgs because there is NO ELECTRICITY TO POWER THE MODEM! ARGH!

Barely anyone in our city has power…

If I have no electrical power for my birthday, i’ll crumble into pieces… seriously. My mum wants to play tennis, so I’d better go. Before I do though, here are some pictures of downed trees.

uhh… sorry about that last one. eheh.

{June 30, 2008}   long time no see.

hey everyone- it’s been busy busy busy busy ALL of last week. i finally got some down time to just listen to music. ah.

mood: *sniff* is sick…

music: Mine’s Not A High Horse – The Shins

We had our swim team’s “movie night” saturday night. I make the slideshows every year, and the projector was broken, so we couldn’t play the slideshow. I guess I’ll just wait for the end of the year thing… Sorta depressed about that. *sigh* It looked great. anyway – I’m watching a really weird CSI – they’re shooting fish up with hormones. I’ve yet to discover why.

a2hamtaro is back up. but it’s currently being “revamped”. not all of the links work. just a heads up.

Tommy’s mlfmp is back up. http://www.mlfmp.com

Shely’s Softball game is at 630! yay! How exciting! Try your best Hornets!! (and you to, Ucy!)

So last week, every day, this was what i had to do.

7-9 swim practice

930-11 Jazz Band

11-12 Advanced Band

1230-4 Tennis

and on tuesdays – water polo from 630-830
That was why I couldn’t post. So, Sorry everyone!

I just finished Post Mortem. It was great! I was sort of on and off with it, so… It took a while.

Just an alert in case anyone forgot! XD

I am NOT posting a big one – i am SO tired. For our first class, we learned about the law system. i was the prosecutor in the mock trial – i completely won. hands down, guilty. i rock. so then i played phoenix wright, and solved a case there. (i was shocked to find out that ini was mini the whole time. oops. spoiler.)

see you all later.

{June 16, 2008}   >.< suMMer!

mood: yay!

music: Blue Train – John Coltrane

uuuu~! i am so excited for summer! it came so very quickly, that i didn’t even realize i didn’t have school this morining. *whoops* last week was so much fun! on thursday, we went to cedar point in ohio.

it was a great trip – akanksha and i went on pretty much everything we could find. we would just stand in line for something without knowing what it was. well. that was… a BIG MISTAKE. neither of us had ever gone to an amusement park. we *ACCIDENTALLY* rode the dragster. we didn’t quite see the huge hump at the top. at 420 feet tall, this coaster was a bit of a shock. we thought top thrill dragster was just a really really fast race car type roller coaster. we were wrong. not only did we almost have heart attacks when we speedily approached the hill, but  a and i couldn’t feel or move anything. was it the shock, or the speed? i had to feel my neck to make sure i wasn’t broken.

we went on a ton of other rides, after dragster. we thought, “whatever, we can handle anything now”. we went on mantis, raptor, blue streak, millenium force, gemini, cedar creek mine ride, iron dragon, mean streak, sky hawk, those silly little car things you could drive, monster, matterhorn, super himalaya, calypso, witch’s wheel, big wheel, max air, snake river falls, and a ton of other rides that we saw and wanted to try.

so much fun XD

on the last day of school we went to the gardens and ate some of the strawberries i planted in garden club. they were a little sour, but that’s ok, it’s pretty early in the strawberry season.

i’m so excited for break and that i really don’t have to do much. i am doing a lot this week in particular, so here’s my schedule:

nothing big till wednesday – when i leave for expo days camp. we get to live in dorms for four days. i get to take two courses, “youth in the law” (learning about court systems, and playing different roles in a court; judge, juror, defense, prosecution, and so on.) and “biofuels of america” (self explanatory. i get home a bit early from camp to go to chicago on friday, for some big ole family reunion type thing.

well, i have to go get a shower, i am meeting nika for bubble tea.

{June 6, 2008}   weeeelll…

school is very boring. since the only thing all of the teachers are making us do is make up work, so everyone’s been taking to bringing their ipods to class.

I am reading this really adorable manga about this girl who’s mum was married to a yakuza then died, so the yakuza quit being a yakuza, and built a cake house.

sooo… ray was yelling at me for not posting quickly -
i am currently :
reading, watching game 6 of the playoffs, posting on my blog, talking to someone on aim, listening to music, AND playing some cheesy dress up game online.

LETS! GO! WINGS! yes – If it goes into double overtime, i won’t stay up. now, it’s ok, cause i stay up this late for things other than hockey. i can’t believe game 5 though – that was C R A Z Y. I fell asleep. Well, i didn’t miss the win or anything.
Speaking of hockey, did you know that being the “Keeper of the Cup” is a full time job?

Lesse – nothing much to talk about because school’s pretty much over. i need to turn in some overdue library books, but that’s not very interesting, is it?
oh – i know! so, our greek school is in the “Yassoo Festival” or “Hello Festival”.
Υιασού! we are dancing and, (THANK GOODNESS) not singing this year. the cannibal and sexy kitten songs will be missed. (long story) umm – we aren’t doing too many dances – just καλαματιανος, καρανγουνα, σταματικος, πεντοζαλη, και – i mean, and the one name i can’t remember.

i hope the interface accepts greek – wasn’t sure, it may be different with other browsers.

big thank you to J (i can call him that for now) – you may not even read my blog, but you helped me SOOOOOO much at engineering club today – all i have to say is LOVE AND OR GRADITUDE BEAM! ****shoom****

k, that’s it for now.

music: If I Had Eyes – Jack Johnson
hey everyone!
i just wanted to make a quick post – i did my band test on wednesday – i got 1 minute, 27 seconds. (*phew*) i didn’t fail, but the best score in our band was eek, eek, 25.2 seconds!
(eek, eek, ekk, ech, ahem.)

i have been listening to if i had eyes, like, a million bazillion times. ( check it out! )

I dragged out my archives – i found this old thang hanging around in cyberspace…

hoo my, that is an old thang. i think i was 6 at the time…

well, in other news. nothing. i have no other news. i’ll post later.

mood: giddy~su
music: Handlebars – Flobots
agh – i thought i would hold back on finishing my kathy reichs books, she only comes out with one per year – i didn’t. i finished yet another at 4 o’clock (PM, duh) today.
i actually thought Cross Bones was THE most deep, most intriguing kr books ever. tempe thinks she found jesus’ skeleton. it was really fascinating. so many jesus theories!

my favorite line is when ryan’s temp. detective is asked if he wants to go back looking for a skeleton in a dark tomb. (i won’t give away TOO much o.O):
“We get to be tomb raiders?”
“Are you in?”
“Ab-so-frickin-lutley!”

so, i was with nadeshiko on friday night. lolz, we had a GREAT time. (well, i did anyway.) so we went out for dinner, then went to “Jo-Ann’s” to look for a nice fabric for my greek school costume that her mum’s making me. of course, we headed to her homefront and played her newly earned wii. yay! we played BRAWL! it was uber fun – she and her brother let me play as peach, every time, ja! (princess peach rox!) then i went home, and slept, after reading a little FLCL. (mmm, FLCL)

then, yesterday, we went to the mall (uck), the apple store (check plus plus), ate cinnabons (NOM NOM), and saw drillbit taylor, the suckiest movie in the century. it was horribly offensive, and should never have been in theatres.
then, during the evening – i watched a wings game for the first time since they last won the stanley cup. (oh, do i remember that moment) they were up against pittsburgh and they totally whupped them. i am going to follow this red wings venture, and see where it might lead me…

in other news :
DAVID COOK WON!
oh yeah. sweet, sweet victory. (why i am excited – I did not win…)
in the past week, four (that’s right, 4!) of his songs were on the top 10 songs purchased list on itunes. and for victory, i must ecstatically say – ab-so-frickin-lutley

{May 21, 2008}   vote cook!

location: Home
mood: geeky
music: Viva la Vida – Coldplay

yay! now that i’m not so sad about zackie, well, you know, (esploding)…

i can put all of my energy into rooting for david (cook, of course). n_n

some of my friends don’t care, and the majority of them vote for (ugh) archuleta…
if you don’t know what i am talking about, AMERICAN IDOL, silly! i know that this is the most cheesy show on all of television – but my mum got me started, and for the first year, i actually know the contestants!

So, text “vote” to 5701 ! (yes, for david cook !)
(wait – you could also call 1 – 866 – 43657 – 01)

so, tomorrow, we have a food and garden club field trip type thing. we get to go to the local farmer’s market, and the community gardens, stuff like that. it’s ALMOST all day, so… *grin* YES.
we also have a science test tomorrow. but, we do come back later in the day – we still have to take it.

other exciting stuff, i guess. in human anatomy club today, we dissected lungs. yay! i don’t think i have actually done a lung before – i have done hearts, eyeballs, brains, femurs, clams, uh… pretty much everything but lungs. we filled the lungs up with a bicycle pump, they got so big, we thought they would explode. they did, sort of – there was a pop, and then a big hole… oh noes! anyways, we put some tissue under the ’scope and saw the little alveoli, and we cut through and found the bronchi. stephen and i found the diaphragm – it was a teeny shelf of muscle in sheets of tissue.
if you grossed out, i apologize, i get so excited about these kinds of things.

bye!

{May 11, 2008}   a great saturday :)

location: Home
mood: sore
music: Clocks-Rythms Del Mundo

I had a great saturday!
hooray!
i will only post a teensy bit right now, because i am uber wiped out.
ok, so i woke up, and brushed my teeth… just kidding! i would never go into that much detail on a blog post! ok, anyways, so i met ray for bubble tea. (taro milk tea with extra coloured bubbles – i has some.) then, we headed on over to game stop, where he bought a WoW expansion, and i finally bought animal crossing for my gamecube! ray and i watched about 8 hours of CSI: NY on “on demand”, and then, sadly, he had to go. :( it was fun, ray, veerry funss. well, you thought i would stop there, didn’t you? no, i won’t. i ended up playing 2 hours of animal crossing (which, i must admit- is actually better than the DS: WW version) which messed up my thumbs a bit.
i did play some super mario sunshine before that though, but i am really an rpg kind of gal. i forgot to mention that my character’s name is “pyan”. i think it’s kinda kyoot, ne. well, i am open for suggestions as to how/what i should name other characters. (you can’t say “squirel” “mallow” “marsh” or “grinkle” because those are the names of the DS: WW version- not like you would anyways!)

gosh- why do i always post sooo late??

well, gotta snooze- Yuri
